Gabriel-Ernest sat on the ground, with his back against the legs of a bench. One might wonder why he didn't just sit on the bench, but nobody would ever ask. Nobody ever questioned what Gabriel-Ernest-one of the most popular students at Martilia- wanted to do. If he wanted to get grass stains on his jeans, some people would undoubtedly try to stain their clothes to match.
Another reason that most people wouldn't choose this particular spot was the rain. It was only a drizzle at this point, but the area was known for sudden downpours with little warning. Already, his hair was beginning to slide into his face, and his shirt was spotty; a few shades darker than it would have been if it were dry.
But, the werewolf was a special case, and the school knew it. If anyone had asked, he was waiting for his "usual pack of idiots," his friends/entourage who hadn't arrived yet. He had unpacked hours earlier, as he lived in the village over the summer. In fact, his excuse was quite plausible.
Of course, that wasn't the whole reason he was out there. He was scoping out the freshmen. His sister was starting this year- later, though, as only the human freshmen started today- and wanted to see what was coming.
And, of course, to spread his reputation with a little hands-on work. Martilia may have lacked a 'give the freshmen hell' policy, but a little healthy respect for the upperclassmen never hurt anybody...
((Anybody can join!))
