Name: Sebastian Basile
Nickname: None that he actually likes
Gender: Male
Nationality: French/American
Race: Human
Age: 18
Grade: 12 (senior)
Team: West
Room Number: 135
Orientation: Gay and proud of it
Appearance:
((slightly long blonde hair// Sky-blue eyes// pale skin// 5'9''))
Attitude: Sebastian is overly-friendly, and has no problems walking up to complete strangers and starting a conversation with them. Some people don't mind him doing this, while others think he's a little strange, wondering how someone could be so happy and friendly all the time. Although Sebastian is known for being extremely friendly and always smiling, Sebastian doesn't ever really let himself get close to others and you never really see him hanging out with anyone outside of school. Even though at he knows that some people hate homosexuality, Sebastian still tells anyone and everyone that he is gay, and never regrets doing so. He refuses to act differently than he wants to just so he can please other people. He is determined to be himself, even if he is hated because of it. There are only a couple of people that Sebastian allows to get close to him, but it usually takes a while to happen before he lets his guard down.
History: Sebastian's parents struggled for a long time just to conceive a child, and when they finally succeeded, his father was ecstatic to have a son. His father had always wanted a son of his own that he could teach to play football and other sports. Sebastian grew up being hounded by his father to play all types of sports, and to be aggressive with everything he did. But Sebastian found himself more interested in other things, things his father thought only girls should do. Sebastian was afraid to deviate from what his father wanted him to do.
His few close friends kept telling him to stand up for himself, but Sebastian was afraid of his father's reaction when he told the older man that he would much rather pursue art and dancing and writing, rather than football and soccer. So he kept doing as his father wanted him to, and he liked that he was able to make his family happy by just participating in the sports. But as he started to realize that he was attracted to guys, rather than girls, he became even more nervous. His father kept hounding on him, wondering why his 'perfect' son didn't have a girlfriend. Sebastian constantly used the excuse that he was too busy to have one, but soon his father became even more fanatical about it. His father *wanted* a perfect son, and he was determined to have one. And in his father's eyes, a perfect son was one that was extremely athletic, had the highest grades and had the perfect girlfriend that he would marry and have the perfect little family with.
But pretending to like a girl was something Sebastian refused to do, and he just continued to try and make excuses. Especially when he met a boy he really liked, although he hadn't actually told the boy about his feelings. Although a little stressed out from worry and trying to keep so many secrets from his father, Sebastian still had a smile on his face and made himself believe he liked his life.
However, everything seemed to crash down on him. He told his crush about his feelings, and was coldly rejected, complete with hateful words and new bruises and cuts to go with the hole that seemed to take the place of his heart. His father found his stories that he had written about guys being in love and was instantly disowned. Sebastian wasn't sure where to go, and he didn't want to ask his few close friends if he could stay with them, so he wandered around the streets for a little while, before finding a place that would take him in as a 'dancer' at their club. He never exactly liked his new lifestyle, but he went with it anyways, knowing that being there was much better than being on the streets.
One day he got an acceptance letter to Martilia. Sebastian wasn't sure what to make of it, but he decided that it would be much better than being where he was now. And now he's getting used to the new school and his new surroundings, unsure as to what is going to happen there.
Strengths:
--Is good a various sports, although he hold no love for them
--Confidence
--Making people feel comfortable around him
Weaknesses:
--Making any *real* friends
--Has a bad attention span
--Doesn't stand up for himself, and allows people to say/do what they wish
Likes: Writing, painting, dancing, singing, any sort of sweets, seeing people smile, loud music
Dislikes: His family, discrimination, people asking questions he doesn't want to answer, seeing people hurt, the quiet, awkward silences
Other: Sebastian's favorite quote is "Live for the moment."
